About Vera

Vera Kay believes the love that fills our lives is something of magic. She hopes to remind parents that even in the exhaustion and chaos, something sacred is unfolding. 

Her upcoming debut Picture book, The Magic of you, was born from those very moments. This book is a love letter to parenthood and the little ones that bring it to life. it invites families to slow down and see the magic hidden in plain sight all around them. 

before becoming a mother and author, vera earned her degree in public health and spent years working with survivors of domestic violence. becoming a mother and reading to her daughter each night, rekindled a childhood dream to become an author. Her daughter serves as the heart behind her creative work.

Today, Vera lives in Alabama with her husband, daughter, cat, and a trio of dogs. She believes in the kind of magic that's made from love, memories, and a little imagination.
